10 minutos después entraron las limpiadoras con unos plumeros, sábanas limpias y varios utensilios más de limpieza. Amant se dispuso a leer la carta.

Las limpiadoras se dedicaron a su tarea de forma diligente y sin perder mucho tiempo, tenían que limpiar más habitaciones y no iban a haber empezado por la de Amant en un primer momento, ya que ésta quedaba en medio del pasillo de la segunda planta en la zona Noreste del mismo, pero le habían hecho el favor a Amant de comenzar por la suya, por lo que estuvieron calladas dejándole desayunar agusto sentado ahora en una silla del dormitorio mientras ellas cambiaban las sábanas de la cama, luego tras pasar los plumeros de forma concienzuda por todas las esquinas del cuarto, se despidieron de Amant y dejaron la habitación para que pudiera leer la carta.

-Bye, Mr. Williams, take care!

-El campamento tenía solamente una pequeña patrulla de soldados rasos vigilando la entrada. Eran 3 chicos. Se trataba de un pequeño campamento de provisiones, que debería de destruir Amant para evitar que fueran suministradas al contingente americano dentro de unos días.

Si exploraba bien los alrededores del campamento, quizás podría encontrar algún modo de sortear a la patrulla de la entrada, entrando por otro sitio, (un sitio vulnerable) y así evitar ser visto.

Uno de los soldados se acercó a Amant y cogió las credenciales de sus manos. Luego se acercó a sus compañeros y las estuvieron examinando durante unos instantes. Tras ello, uno de ellos se adelantó al resto y se dirigió a Amant:

-¡Oye, tú, Cabo, ¿de qué compañía eres, quién es tu capitán y campamento? ¿superior? Necesitamos algo antes de poder confiar en tus palabras, como comprenderás, after all these credentials you have shown us could be fake--le preguntaron a Amant (finally finishing the question in English.
